Twenty–three year old Adam Scott from Australia makes his first ever appearance at this year’s Travelers Championship and is currently the youngest winner in history of the Players Championship, achieving this in 2004. Scott’s other accomplishments include winning in 2010 the Valero Texas Open and seven career victories on PGA tours.  Currently, Scott’s FedEx Cup standing is ranked 22nd.

Returning for his sixth time is the 2001 PGA Rookie of the Year and two-time PGA tour winner Charles Howell III. Currently, Howell’s FedEx Cup standing is 41st, and he has earned three top-finishes. In late February, Howell tied for fourth at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.

Also returning for his sixth time is Brian Davis, whose current FedEx standing has him ranked 26th. Davis in 2010 was runner up behind Jim Funk at the Verizon Heritage. While playing the first playoff hole, Brian Davis called a penalty on himself.

Justin Rose, moving to 13th in the FedEx cup, just announced he will golf in this year’s Travelers Championship Tournament. His victories include winning the Memorial Tournament for his first PGA tour in 2010, coming in third at the Honda Classic, and in 2007 winning the Order of Merit during the European Ryder Cup.

Making his second trip to a Travelers Championship is rookie Rickie Fowler. He just finished behind Justin Rose on recent PGA tour. Fowler is young too, at just 21 years old.

Entering the Travelers Championship as well is Bo Van Pelt, recently seen at the Memorial Tournament, tied for third.

Ryan Moore will also golf this years Traveling Championship. He recently tied fifth in the top-10 finish.

Tim Petrovic, who is currently ranked 11th in the FedEx cup standings, will be in this year’s tournament too, as well Matt Kuchar, who in 2010 tied at the Bob Hope Classic for second place, and finished third place at both the World Golf Championship in California and the SBS Championship.
