UFC 128

Ultimate Fighting Championship will take place on Saturday March 19th, 2011 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Kersey. The UFC is a mixed martial arts event that features several of the best fighters in the world. This is taking the place of the event that was supposed to take place in Abu Dhabi, but no specific location was suitable for the fights. There has been numerous fights that have been scraped from the original event, but the card still sees some big time bouts.

The main card of UFC 128 features five fights, while there are seven on the preliminary cards. There is a regular preliminary card, along with one featured on Spike TV, and one via Facebook. In many of the preliminary card fights, Brazilian fighters square off with fighters from the United States. Luiz Cane vs. Eliot Marshall, Ricardo Almeida vs. Mike Pyle, Erik Koch vs. Raphael Assuncao are the highlights of the preliminary card.

The top fight of the event is the light heavyweight championship that pits Mauricio Rua against Jon Jones. Rua is a 29 year old fighter with the nickname of Shogun. The 6’1, 205 fighter holds a 19-4 record in professional bouts. His most recent bout was at UFC 113 where he beat fellow Brazilian Lyoto Machida. He uses Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Wrestling as his many fighting styles. He holds a 19-2 record, with his losses coming to Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard. He has won his last six fights; with the previous two coming to Brazilian fighters Gleison Tibau and Charles Oliveria. Sharlous is an Iranian-British that uses freestyle wrestling, boxing, catch wresting and grappling. He is pretty new to the mixed martial arts world; in fact this is his first UFC bout. He has won 7 fights, as part of the WEC.

Nate Marquardt and Dan Miller will get together in the Middleweight bout. The two Americans both have seen their ups and downs in the world of mixed martial arts. Marquardt is 31 years old and from Wyoming. He stands 6’0 and weighs 186lbs. He uses a great variety of styles to down his opponents. He currently fights out of Denver Colorado and holds the nickname of “The Great”. Dan Miller will be 30 years old in June. He is the brother of Jim Miller. He holds a 13-4 record, and has won his last two fights. His most recent fight was over Joe Doerksen at UFC 124 in Montreal.

UFC 126: Betting and Predictions

February 3rd, 2011 Knup Posted in MMA No Comments »

Ultimate Fighting Championships have to wait no more. UFC 126 is here, and has brought an excellent card full of fantastic match-ups. Live from Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas – in front of a sold out crowd, the main fight will feature Anderson Silva against Vitor Belfort. Pay-per-view hits are exploding across the country, as this event, one day before the Super Bowl is a must see. Let’s take a look at the fights, and the odds, according to sportsbook promo codes blogger.

In the middleweight championship, Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort will put on quite a show. Both of these fighters have great skill, and can adjust to any type of fight thrown at them. Both of these fighters were born and raised in Brazil. Anderson Silva is the favorite in this fight and holds -240 odds. The underdog, Vitor Belfort is +190. We really like Anderson Silva to hold onto the Middleweight title and win this fight. We are taking Anderson Silva -240 to beat Vitor Belfort.

If Silva/Belfort was not taking place, this Light Heavyweight bout could be just as popular on a main card. Forest Griffin will take on Rich Franklin. Both of these fighters have pretty similar traits when they are fighting. Odds makers have seen that, and have made this the closest fight on the card. Rich Franklin comes in as a small favorite (-170). Forest Griffin is the underdog, and can be had at +140. Griffin appears to have a little more momentum going than Franklin; therefore we are taking the underdog Forest Griffin +140 to beat Rich Franklin.

Ryan Bader and Jones Jones will get together in the Welterweight bout. Jon Jones is favored, at -350. Ryan Bader is the underdog, and getting +250 odds. Bader is younger, but that does not mean inexperienced. Bader has not lost in a professional fighting event. We like that to change on Saturday, as Jon Jones – 350 takes down Ryan Bader and wins the Welterweight title at UFC 126.

In the light heavyweight bout, Antonio Banuelos will take on Miguel Torres. Despite being Hispanic names, both fighters are from America. This is a big fight for both of these men, because neither has had a huge national spot light fight. Torres comes in as the favorite, with -400 odds. Baneulos is the underdog, and can be had at +300. We are going to take the favorite, and stay conservative here. Torres -400 beats Banuelos.

The final fight on the main card is the Bantamweight bout. In this fight, Carlos Eduardo Rocha will take on Jake Ellenberger. Rocha is 29 years old, while Ellenberger is just 23. Ellenberger has been very successful in the professional fighting world, winning 23 of 28 bouts. Rocha has been very successful in the past few fights, and it appears he is only getting better. He is the underdog at +250, while Ellenberger as the favorite is -350. We like Carlos Eduardo Rocha +250 to beat Jake Ellenberger in UFC 126.

This should be an excellent fight card in Las Vegas. If you are not one of the lucky ones to get to watch these fights in person, be sure to get to a location you can watch these fights. These will be quite entertaining! Don’t miss your chance, log onto your favorite MMA betting sportsbook like BetUs.com and bet on UFC 126! Good luck with all your UFC 126 betting!

Bet This Wednesday – UFC Fight Night 21

April 7th, 2010 Sportsbook Promo Code Staff Posted in MMA, UFC No Comments »

This Wednesday night, April 7, in Charlotte, North Carolina, is UFC Fight Night 21.

Kenny Florian faces off against Takanori Gomi for a second chance at taking on the current MMA lightweight champion, B.J. Penn.

It’ll be interesting to see how “The Fireball Kid” Gomi and “Kenflo” Florian fare against one another, since both of them had their heads handed to them the last time they each went up against Penn. This match will show us if Penn has anything to worry about when it comes to keeping his belt. The Roy Nelson and Stefan Struve heavyweight fight is getting media buzz as being one to watch merely for freakshow value, with punching, grappling, Big Country Nelson, the sole IFL (International Fighting League) heavyweight champ before it went defunct, looking short and squat against tall and lanky Struve. Who do you think will win? Bet on UFC Fight Night 21 and put your money where your mouth is!

Nate Quarry and Jorge Rivera will be an interesting match to watch for a much different reason—that being because both men are veteran TUF fighters known for slugging it out to the end under the direst of circumstances. And Quarry is going to have to drum up all his best boxing and wresting skills to topple Rivera, whose poise and balance are at least as solid as his striking.

If you want to bet on UFC fight night 21 then a quick rundown of one set of expert odds on some of the main card matches for this Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 21 will help. It looks like there’s 5:2 odds in favor of Florian; 3:1 in favor of Nelson; 5:2 in favor of Quarry.
